Timber Ridge Championship Golf Course
Carved from a mature tree nursery that was planted in the late 1940s, the championship layout of Timber Ridge Golf Club boasts spectacular views and an inspiring design. Course architect Jerry Matthews worked with an abundant variety of trees, the hilly terrain, and the existing marshland. Matthews’ philosophy of design allowed nature and the contour of the land to suggest the placement of holes and flow of the course. He and his father, Michigan Golf Hall of Fame recipient W. Bruce Matthews, have won acclaim for advancing the art of environmentally sound golf course design in Michigan. Timber Ridge is the end result of their years of experience and combined expertise.
